Vacation was amazing.  We are back into the swing of things and I am behind on blogging.  Here is one recent studio session of two brothers.  Enjoy this little peek.  For all the others waiting, I hope to be caught up soon!

On another note, I entered a picture into a contest for the cover of the Professional Photographer magazine… I made the semi-finals out of over 5,000 entries.  Hopefully I find out soon if I make the finals!

Here is the picture I submitted…

On vacation…

August 11, 2010

I will be out of town August 11-24 and will have limited access to phone and email.  While I agree that the Heber Valley is a beautiful vacation location, we are headed for a change of scenery.  I will return any voicemails or emails when I return on August 24th.  Watch for details about Christmas portrait specials when I return.

This sweet family only had one request for their session.  They wanted a memory of the Provo River.  Luckily the Heber Valley has plenty of beautiful locations overlooking the Provo River… if you can avoid the fly-fishers!  We thankfully found a spot that wasn’t busy and had the perfect backdrop.  Their little girls were such troopers and did great taking pictures.  Enjoy your sneak peek “P” family.  I can’t wait for you to see the rest!

This little lady just turned one.  You may remember her newborn pictures.  No matter what her mom and I tried, she wanted to be serious in all of her pictures.  I think she is practicing for her modeling debut… she  really knows how to do the pouty face.  Neverless we were able to get some cute snaps of her and her brother.  Happy Birthday Miss “A”!

I had the pleasure of photographing this amazing family.  A few of the kids are moving across the country to attend a few different prestigious universities.  Since this was the last time they would be all together for a while, they made sure to document this stage in their life with a family picture.  It was great to meet you all.  Enjoy your sneak peek and I will have your full gallery up shortly.

This little guy was an absolute doll.  He took such a great nap while I photographed him.  Thanks for bringing him over to the studio! As you can see we got some great shots of him.

I had the pleasure of meeting little C a few weeks ago before her family moved away from Park City.  She was the cutest little girl but she sure didn’t like me.  She was terrified of the camera and got sad everytime she saw it.  We were able to get some great family shots but had to reschedule her individual portraits for a later day.  The beauty of custom photography is that I am able to bring my travelling studio anywhere.  We decided to try doing portraits at C’s home to see if she was more comfortable in her own environment.  Thankfully she cooperated on her reschedule and we got some great shots of her.

Michelle Cruson: What a gorgeous baby! She looks like a little doll in that first one.
