Hi, welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy your stay. My name is Laura and this is where I showcase some of my recent sessions. I enjoy capturing memories through photographs. I tend to like to keep things simple. I like to focus on the "windows to our soul"-- the eyes. I feel a photograph should speak to you through the eyes.

I have been waiting to share these pictures for a few weeks now. This was one of the funnest sessions I have done yet. Michelle and Blake were so fun to work with and were up for pretty much anything. Congratulations on your wedding yesterday and I will have a wedding day post up real soon.
What a fun shoot this was. Blake and Michelle are getting married next month so we decided to head to Downtown Salt Lake City and do some fun engagement pictures. I love shooting downtown since there are so many different textures and backgrounds. I am really looking forward to shooting Michelle’s bridal session later this month and their wedding next month. Here are a few from their session.

I had the pleasure of having this gorgeous little girl in studio. I have had the chance to photograph her a few times and everytime I am blown away by her beauty.
I think she looks like a young Reese Witherspoon here with her pouty lips…

I had the opportunity to go and photograph a HOT wedding in San Diego last weekend. When I say HOT, I’m not just talking about the weather (it was almost 110 degrees outside!). This couple was hot. They are an insanely gorgeous couple and were such troopers putting up with the heat we dealt with. They had so many friends and family that made the trip to San Diego to celebrate with them and the love that all of their friends and relatives showed was amazing. Wow! That’s all I can say… I had the opportunity to travel to my old stomping grounds in San Diego and do an “After Wedding” session with this fabulous couple. I love sessions that take place after the wedding. The bride and groom are so relaxed and so in love. Despite the lovely “May Gray” weather we experienced, we got some great shots. Enjoy!
We even did a little off-camera flash work which was a lot of fun…

What an amazing day! All morning long, we were pounded by heavy rain. Then, the second this sweet couple stepped outside, the rain stopped and the sun shone through the clouds. We were blessed with two hours of perfect weather until we finished our pictures and then the heavens opened again and released a downpour. You two are such an amazing couple. I was so honored to capture your special day and cannot wait to photograph you guys again next week in San Diego.

We had such a fun time yesterday doing Joe and Melina’s Engagement Photos. They are such a fun couple that couldn’t stop smiling at each other. This last one was Joe’s idea. He loves the old photos from 100 years ago so we thought we would recreate the stiff, posed feel of those old wedding photos…
