Sweet Little Abby just turned 8 and her mom wanted some portraits to commemorate this special time in her life.  She was all full of giggles throughout her session and all I had to do was mention Justin Bieber to get a smile out of her.

I finally got it done.  I quickly took some pictures the other day of my own kids.  It had been far too long and I needed something to put on the Christmas card.  I did everything I tell clients not to do.  I didn’t even think about clothes until an hour before, I did not give my youngest a nap, and I fed my kids chocolate as a bribe and had to keep wiping faces as a result…  Overall, the perfectionist in me sees all the flaws but I am happy I got them all smiling.

Johanna: You did a great job and I know what you mean by everything wrong. I'm so wonderful to other kids no matter how hard a time I'm having, but with my own, I threaten them unmercifully! :) Anything to get the shot, right? Beautiful kids; great smiles.

Now that Christmas sessions are all done and sent off, I thought I would give a few peeks at some of the sessions over the past month…

First up, SEVEN kids in studio.  It was crazy and wild but we ended up with some great shots…

Finally, this family came to Park City/Heber for a ski vacation over Thanksgiving.  You don’t have mountains like this in San Diego!

There are a few more sessions to post but I’ll save those for another day…

Johanna: That mountain shot doesn't even look real! We don't have those where I am either! Beautiful work. Your clients are very lucky!

I am caught up in the busy season with everyone wanting family portraits for their Christmas Cards and gifts.  This is one recent session that I couldn’t help but blog.  To all others waiting for a blog post, it will come soon! As a reminder, sessions will be blogged for sharing after orders are complete.

The C family was such a pleasure to photograph.  Their girls knew exactly what to do and were so well behaved.  Amy is a talented crafter and I get a lot of my hats and headbands from her for studio work.  Check out her ETSY store here.

I still have a few openings for Christmas portraits.  Contact me as soon as possible if you want an outdoor session.  There will be snow on the ground before we know it!

Jenifer: Beautiful pictures. Those two girls are so adorable.

Becky Eastman: These are all great but the top one is my favorite! Love the beautiful colors!

This little lady just turned one.  You may remember her newborn pictures.  No matter what her mom and I tried, she wanted to be serious in all of her pictures.  I think she is practicing for her modeling debut… she  really knows how to do the pouty face.  Neverless we were able to get some cute snaps of her and her brother.  Happy Birthday Miss “A”!

I had the pleasure of meeting little C a few weeks ago before her family moved away from Park City.  She was the cutest little girl but she sure didn’t like me.  She was terrified of the camera and got sad everytime she saw it.  We were able to get some great family shots but had to reschedule her individual portraits for a later day.  The beauty of custom photography is that I am able to bring my travelling studio anywhere.  We decided to try doing portraits at C’s home to see if she was more comfortable in her own environment.  Thankfully she cooperated on her reschedule and we got some great shots of her.

Michelle Cruson: What a gorgeous baby! She looks like a little doll in that first one.

My oldest daughter will be baptized in a few weeks and I decided to capture this time in her life.  We set out to do a session in her white dress.  I have a few pictures of her in her blessing dress, these in her baptism dress and I hope to have amazing pictures of her in her wedding dress someday.  I love the “Three White Dresses” poem and I know she will appreciate these photos when she is older.

* just a side note: I processed these a little bit different than my normal style but I felt they needed to be a bit lighter than my normal processsing.  I love them, she loves them, and that is all that matters! :)

Linnea: Gorgeous! Is this at that same orchard? I love it, she looks so sweet.
